Basic Hand-made Decorative Tile Class
1: Learn
how to make your own hand made decorative tiles from
star
t to
finish.
We
star
t the class with a
demonstration on how to hand roll out “low-fire/earthenware” clay to
make tiles. Then you
make 4- 4” x 4” tiles.
Then,
using 4 previously fired 4”x4” hand-made tiles, we paint and outline
our designs with “Mason-stain” colors. The tiles are then dipped in
clear glaze.
The
tiles are fired after class and ready, to be picked-up at a later date.
Please
plan your design before class. Brush
work will be demonstrated for attractive finished product.
Some painting experience (any medium) is required.
All materials and firing is included. $40 for your first class, $35
to repeat this class.
